VIOFO A129 Pro Duo 4K UHD Car Dashcam Review
The VIOFO A129 Pro Duo consists by a forward and a rear camera both of which are housed inside compact plastic housings. Now whereas the forward camera uses the SONY Exmor R 8.29MP ultra high definition CMOS image sensor the rear camera is based on the SONY Starvis 2.13MP full high definition CMOS image sensor.
This allows the forward camera to record at 4K (3840x2160p – 1440p/1080p at 60fps are also supported) resolution at 30fps (with a diagonal viewing angle of 130 degrees) and the rear camera at 1080p (1920x1080p) resolution at 30fps (with a diagonal viewing angle of 140 degrees). Just like other 4K dash cameras (and action cameras) in the market the A129 Pro Duo uses H.265 HEVC video compression for significantly reduced recording sizes.
